With the short interaction I had with the leftists, the idea that they are a misfit for academia keeps growing.

Leftists keep peddling the puppy remark nonsense in-spite of Modi and the interviewer clarifying the intent. An article today in savuku repeats that - http://newsavukku.com/6521
One leftist in a discussion said that the Bhils are suppressed by Brahmins to use only the left hand for archery. And this suppression has happened from the days of Dronacharya !!
Another interpreted the vanaras in Ramayana are Dravidian Kings !! Another who supported it said that theists should keep away from history. !!!! Going by that you could expect them to say that believers should keep away from science too. Neo-fascism !!
All these point to something fundamentally wrong in their mindset. Academia demands an open and inquiring mindset and not a prejudiced one. Thankfully the above leftists are not part of academia, but they are very much part of media. No wonder Indian media is in rots.
It is not difficult to understand the sludge accumulated in Indian academia which has been dominated by the pseudo-intellectual left so far. Any voice against them would be immediately looked down as Hindutva and Communal. Hope with time, the sludge is cleared and sane minds get into academia and media.
